Kraai Supports Toys for Tots Through Vignette Village
Doug DeJulio from Carnegie Mellon was unable to retrieve his helicopter raffle prize before the conference ended. Jason Belcher from Kraai contacted Doug who suggested Kraai "go ahead and donate it to a children's hospital or Toys for Tots."

New Office in Chicago
What does a company based in near Kansas City that has everyone in the company get on a plane and fly to Chicago every Monday do to alleviate travel? They open an office in Chicago, of course. Kraai Consulting, LLC has done just that hiring a long term Content Management industry veteran by the name of Brent Litzer to lead the effort.

Kraai Expanding Again
The Kraai home office in Overland Park, Kansas is going through another expansion this year. With this additional space, Kraai holds enough of the building to add their name to the building sign out front.

2004

Kraai Consulting started as a boutique Vignette consulting shop under the name of Wetzel & Kraai Consulting in early 2004. The partnership consisted of two seasoned consultants that helped form one of the first Vignette V7 implementation teams. Seeing a need in the industry for advanced Vignette consultants, Robert Kraai and a partner focused initially on the Vignette VCM suite of products training and providing some of the best available people in the market. W&K also provided Java development and simple web site development (non ECM). By the end of 2004, W&K moved into a little green building near the train tracks in old Lenexa, Kansas.

2005

In 2005 W&K became partners with Vignette both for consulting services and managed Vignette V7, Dialog, Portal, and Collaboration hosting. As the leading experts in Dialog, W&K became innovators in integration and customer solutions for marketing workflow in addition to the expertise in ECM solutions. Additionally, W&K purchased Dialog with an agreement of revenue sharing with Vignette for Software As A Service (SAAS).

2006

In 2006 W&K split and re-formed as Kraai Consulting with a focused dedication to the Enterprise Content Management practice. While continuing to provide the same level of excellence in the Vignette WCM space, Kraai added a focus on Enterprise-wide CMS, IW, and Collaboration needs with software packages other than Vignette (Alfresco, Stellent, Interwoven, and SharePoint). This increases the value that Kraai brings to Vignette customers by offering integration solutions instead of replacement options. Additionally, specializing in ECM makes Kraai Consulting a valuable asset to any Content Management project. Kraai opened a location in Phoenix and moved out of the little green building in Lenexa and into a small space in the current KC office.

2007

In 2007 Kraai Consulting formalized a partnership with Alfresco and began a partnership with Interwoven. Kraai identified the need for an ECM methodology that would facilitate the success of both large and small scale projects. Seasoned Project Management personnel were brought in to begin building this new flexible framework. Kraai continued to grow in staff and revenue to hit 10 FTEs and 5 subcontractors with a network of trusted subcontractors to draw from reaching into the 20s. By the end of a record year, Kraai opened an office in Chicago to handle the larger volume of work in the upper states. Kraai also began a restructure of the corporate management team.

2008

By 2008, Kraai formed a solid management team with an emphasis on methodology. Kraai started 2008 with offices in Kansas City, Chicago, and Phoenix and services provided across the country. Kraai continues to grow in the ECM space providing services in Vignette, Interwoven, Alfresco, and others for strategy, new installations, migrations, cross platform integration, repairs and fixes, and managed hosting.
