Imaging and Workflow (IW)

If implementing Imaging and Workflow and Records and Document management is a need, then our IW Center of Excellence is preparing to handle this. The Imaging and Workflow COE helps customers by supplying expertise in records and documents management, imaging, and workflow/BPM solutions. Records and Document management help our customers to be more effective by organizing, indexing and easily searching business content. Imaging and Workflow often go hand-in-hand with Records and Document management, as many times this content may be images of actual paper documents. Workflow often becomes the framework which allows for dissemination of content across the business organization. Finally, Business Process Management (BPM) can be included to drive efficiencies in the business through measurement and fine tuning of business practices.

An example of this might be a company that receives so much mail in a day that they are unable to process it. Document management, imaging and workflow can come to the rescue by scanning all incoming mail, and storing it digitally (imaging). These images are routed to appropriate individuals (workflow), and then retained for a specific period of time (records management). Finally, the business can adjust its practices to be more efficient using data from all of the above (BPM). This is a growing area for Kraai in supporting products like Interwoven Worksite, Vignette VRD and IDM, Alfresco, Documentum, and FileNet.
