Responsibilities:
- Continuing Expertise in the Vignette Portal product and integration with other Vignette products
- Working with a team to provide solutions to our clients
- Manage delivery to the non-functional requirements: scale, performance, reliability, physical and logical architecture
- Deliver training and mentorship to clients and personnel
- Be able to deliver all the skills of a technical consultant when needed
- Traveling to client sites for short term and long term projects.
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Vignette or Epicentric Portal
- 5+ years of experience designing and deploying web-based technologies using J2EE, Object-Oriented Methodologies, and n-tier architecture required.
- 3+ years of experience in requirements gathering.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle impromptu as well as formal discussions with clients to architect their ECM solution
The following knowledge or expertise is a plus but not required:
- Other Web Portals (Liferay, WebSphere, Weblogic, Plumtree)
- Content Management Systems (Vignette, Alfresco, Documentum, Interwoven, Stellant)
- Search Engines (Autonomy, Verity)
- LDAP and Single Sign On technologies (MS Active Directory, Sun One Directory Server, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager, Siteminder)
Specialized Knowledge and Hands-on Technical Skills that this position will be exposed to:
- J2EE Architecture
- J2EE Application Servers: WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat.
- Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Databases and SQL: Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or DB2
- Other technical skills: Java, JSP, HTML, XSL, XML
Additional Information
- Travel (50-80%) is expected. Our focus is on off-site work whenever possible. Our travel days are Monday through Thursday unless other arrangements are worked out ahead of time.
